Boutique Spotlight: OWEN NYC

OWEN, a fun designer boutique for both male and female shoppers, opened last May in New York City’s Meat Packing District. The boutique’s collection of classically trendy items ensure customers that their style will be current, yet timeless, when making purchases at OWEN. For those who want to make a refined fashion statement, OWEN boutique is the perfect shopping destination for you.

The boutique carries some of my personal favorite designers like Genetic Denim, Jen Kao, V Ave Shoe Repair, Beckley by Melissa, Cut25, Smythe, Unconditional and Rodebjer. They also carry a jewelry from Dannijo and Make her Think.

Philip Salem began conceptualizing the idea of OWEN when he realized the lack of quality boutiques (for both men & women) in the Meat Packing District. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2010, Salem began mixing emerging designers with distinguished ones to create an innovative and creative boutique for customers to enjoy.

What’s even more exciting? As Salem mentioned in an interview with Fashionista: this is only the beginning. “In late spring or for fall/winter 13, we are going to roll out my private label. The men’s will be called Owen and the women’s line will be called something really important to me: I’m going to name it Eva Owen, which was my mom’s name.”

Here’s to many great things to come to both Philip Salem and his boutique OWEN.
