Viaggiare!

I haven’t been everywhere yet, but it’s on my list. – Susan Sontag

This summer I had the incredible opportunity to live in Italy for two months, which turned into a life changing experience, an experience that one can only imagine in literature and art. On this journey, I have discovered more about myself than I could ever imagine in such a small period of time- I’ve discovered and applauded my strengths, while noting and improving my weaknessess, but most of all, I’ve discovered the beauty of diving into the unknown, and achieving an indescribable version of success.

If you ever have the chance to live in a different country, jump in. It will be the best and worst experience of your life, so effortlessly flawless and excruciatingly painful, but ultimately, the best way to discover new self-attributes while appreciating and admiring the old ones. Whether for a month, a year, or a lifetime, it will be the most liberating decision you will ever make.

Lao Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

… So take that first step, jump into the air and live wild and free.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
